Kalpitiya is being developed as a major tourist zone in the country, 14 island in the Kalpitiya area, in the Puttalam district will be developed to cater to high-end tourists as the largest of the country’s tourist zones. The total acreage of these 14 island amounts to nearly 5,000 acres.
Kalpitiya is an unfeigned heaven for any tourist as the area is rich with dolphins and whales, lobsters and sea turtles, exotic beaches etc,. It also has a Bar Reef Marine Sanctuary of over 300 sq.km of sea having most valuable rich bio-diversity.

It is a marine sanctuary with a diversity of habitats ranging from bar reefs, flat coastal plains, saltpans, mangroves swamps, salt marshes and vast sand dune beaches.
The access to Dutch Bay is only by a 4 wheel drive vehicles or by boats. Our property is adjacent to the proposed 6 star hotel.
Dutch Bay Kalpitiya falls on the Ancient Dutch settlement and trading Routes for the Manar Pearls. The area surrounding Dutch Bay is sprinkled with many heritage sites in Noracholai, Talawila areas. Kudaramalai point where Vijaya the father of the Sinhala Nation landed is also 30 minutes by boat. So it is bound to attract many domestic as well as foreign tourists.
